Hi, my name is Suzanne and I've been taking photographs for over 30 years. I am a Canadian living in the UK and I consider myself very fortunate to have apprenticed with a professional photographer in Toronto in the early 80's. I was exposed to exquisite photographic works from the family's own personal collection, this included photographic works of the original masters, Edward Steichen, Alfred Steiglitz, Andre Kertesz and Edward Weston. And the amazing women photographers, Gertrude Kasebier and Julia Margaret Cameron, just to name a few.
Developing and printing in the darkroom was magical to me and I sepia-toned all my prints and hand painted them with Marshall oils. In 1981 and 82, I won the Best Photography award at The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition and this fueled my passion and confidence to continue on. I no longer have my darkroom, I now like most photographers, work in Photoshop.
My photography has been shown in The British Virgin Islands, Victoria, BC, Toronto and Stratford, Ontario Canada. All places I've been fortunate and happy to call home. After Irma, we moved to Cornwall UK a beautiful, wild and serene land where we hope to find peace and reconnect with family xo
